CM-CIC Capital Privé is the investment company that manages the FCPI innovation investment funds and FIP local investment funds of the Crédit Mutuel - CIC group. It manages 18 investment funds with a total of €310 million in assets, including 9 FCPI and 9 FIP funds (as of 1 January 2008). Managed funds are invested in growth companies based on medium-term projects. CM-CICCapital Privé teams provide their clients with:
- insight into strategic management decisions,
- access to all the services offered by the Crédit Mutuel - CIC group,
- assistance with raising funds, should the need arise,
- preparation and optimisation of the process for the exit to financial or industrial actors.
Specific investment criteria of FCPI innovation investment funds
CM-CIC Capital Privé invests in companies that meet the eligibility requirements of the French innovation agency (Oséo), which are outlined below:
- innovative products with high technological barriers,
- high-potential markets,
- an experienced management team.
The main sectors of interest are softwares, telecoms, healthcare and services.
Specific investment criteria of FIP local investment funds
CM-CIC Capital Privé invests primarily in mature companies that meet the eligibility requirements for FIP local investment funds:
- Revenues of less than €50m, or total assets of less than €43m,
- no more than 250 employees, activity in one of the FIP geographic regions (Nord-Pas de Calais, Picardie, Centre, Ile de France, Bourgogne, Rhône-Alpes, Normandie, Champagne-Ardennes, Alsace, Lorraine, Franche-Comté and Pays de la Loire),
- a family structure or LBO holding.
Investments are selected without a sector preference.
